'29 MODEL A ROADSTER PICK-UP

DESCRIPTION

SOLD TO A GOOD HOME

Look for the Model A to be cruising around the Black Hills of South Dakota during the summer and blasting thru the Phoenix desert in the winter. JD Bell, owner of the Boarsnest Roadhouse, is the proud new owner. It was sold with conditions tho, he promised we could take it for a spin when we get back to South Dakota. Visit JD and the Model A at the Boarsnest this summer, you'll be glad you did. Tell him we sent you.

BOARSNESTROADHOUSE

History of a Model A Roadster

This is being built as a "rat rod" but still has plenty of design, engineering and fabrication time being spent on it! The plan is to have a unique, dependable, fun shop truck that's disguised in it's original patina from 75+ years of use!
The frame has been pinched, stepped and Z'ed. Dave channeled the body and it has a shortened box along with a chopped windsheild.
It is (will be!) powered by a 327 Auto with a 9" rear end and a 4" dropped superbell up front. Big and little tires on steel rims.
It's being built as time permits-but we hope to be driving it by spring!

UPDATE Sad to say it won't be ready for the trip to L.A. Roadster show. Dave has the truck bed completed and in primer as well as the body. I'll update pictures soon.

UPDATE  On the road in July '06 for the first time. Not the most comfortable for long trips but the most fun on short trips.
