When Dave started formulating the plan to build this bike he already owned an impressive collection of motorcycles but this would be the first new vehicle, of any kind, that he would own. He started this custom bike in 1996 and the newest motorcycle he rode at the time was his 1968 FLH. Dave was looking to build something fast and reliable that had loads of style.
This project started it's life with all new parts. It has a 96 cubic inch S&S engine , a 5 speed transmission along with a Kenny Boyce frame. The tank mounts were removed and Dave added another 5 degrees to the neck rake. The front end was lowered an extra 3" by turning the triple tree and using a White Brothers lowering kit. All of the sheet metal, including the tank, fenders, oil tank, battery box and exhaust were designed and fabricated by Dave. The homemade exhaust system is anything but quiet. He firmly believes in the phrase "loud pipes save lives".
You won't find any flash with chrome and graphics here. The color is a basic black . Dave relied on the clean, sharp profile lines to create a custom ride with a drag bike look.
